Who doesn't love the lovely tinkling sound of a charm bracelet or the way the perfect earrings make your eyes sparkle? And what about that handbag with the most uncommon design or that belt that perfectly sinches your waist? Let's face it girls, accessories are never over-rated too much. In fact, sometimes, they not only compliment the outfit, they make your outfit. And everyone has his weaknesses. For example, I am not an avid collector of jewelry, I have my favourite pieces and dress them around my outfits. My weakness lies in bags and shoes and scarves. And when winter comes, I pull out my lovely collection of hats and French style berets: I love the old Parisienne look, a look I nurtured through ad nauseum reruns of Audrey Hepburn's Sabrina. It's classic, it's elegant, but most of all it's comfy.
Back to the perfect accessory. Sometimes it's easy to put on the first thing you find and rush out. However, as the great artists will tell you, perfection can only be achieved if you take care of the details. And that is how you should look at accessories, details that make a good outfit perfect. Of course, one has to keep in mind the do's and dont's, as it is easy to turn a fashion statement into a fashion faux pas.
I always accessories according to what I'm wearing. If I have a busy top, say with big prints or loud colours, I try to keep it at a minimum. I have a motto for this - more with less and less with more. If you are wearing a simple outfit, with no patterns and nothing too extravagant you could afford wearing an over the top piece of jewelry or a nice colourful scarf. It's a question of balancing the two together.
This season's craze on the red carpet was the huge chandelier earrings. Personally, I love them, however I don't wear them because I have small face and I feel they are too overpowering for me. If you have a good hairstyle, preferably pulled away from the face, you'll be the envy of every girl. These type of earrings may turn a drab t-shirt and jeans into a va-va-voom outfit.

My craze at the moment is big rings. I love big rings. I am a 5 ft 2, UK size 6 and the only big thing which I can wear and doesn't make me look like a girl trying her mummy's shoes are big rings. And so I am in the quest for the perfect ring. I wish I could be hunting for THE RING (with the huge princess cut-stone) but my boyfriend seems to think that the engagement ring is not important and I'll get it on the eve of my wedding day. So for now I have to content myself with other sorts of rings. I bought a ring at the end of last year and I adore it. It's like a mosaic of mother of pearl and the pale pastel colors make it ideal for the impending spring clothes. Apart from that it has quite an art-deco vintage feel to it.
This brings me to the end of today's post. Hope you find it useful.
